Emotional Health
Your mind changes how long you live.
Emotional health is the one part of health that can keep improving no matter your age, and it may matter more than people expect. Loneliness and chronic stress carry real physical risk, on par with the major diseases we screen for. So we treat this as part of the medicine, not an extra. We ask about your relationships, your purpose, your stress, and your sleep, and we help you build a life with strong connections to family, friends, and the things you love. A longer life is only worth it if it is a life you want to be living.
At your visits we use two standard questionnaires: the PHQ-9 (a nine question check for depression) and the GAD-7 (a seven question check for anxiety). Alongside those we go through your stress load, your alcohol and other substance use, how connected you feel to other people, your sense of purpose, and how satisfied you are with your life, because these drive both how long and how well you live.
This is a screen, support, and refer model, not psychiatry. We find what is there, help where we can, and connect you with the right mental health clinician when that is the correct next step.
There is no stigma here. Emotional health gets measured, tracked over time, and revisited like any other number we follow.
This is one part of a complete, personal risk assessment.
