Offered when clinically appropriate
Rapamycin, considered with care.
Rapamycin is not a standard part of membership, and it is not for everyone. For select patients, after a full review and an honest conversation about what is known and what is not, it may have a place in a longer plan. It is never where we start.
What it is
Rapamycin is a medication that dampens a cellular pathway called mTOR, which helps control how cells grow, repair, and clean out damage. In animal studies it is one of the most consistent interventions for extending healthy lifespan, which is why it is taken seriously in longevity medicine.
What the evidence does, and does not, show
We are direct about this. Using rapamycin for longevity is off-label and investigational. The animal and mechanistic evidence is genuinely promising. The human evidence in healthy people is still limited, and there is no proven lifespan extension in healthy humans. We will not tell you otherwise.
Not for everyone
Rapamycin is considered only for select patients and is not appropriate in many situations, including around surgery, during an active infection, and with certain metabolic conditions. Whether it fits you is a clinical decision, made case by case, never automatic.
How we approach it
If it is on the table for you, it follows a careful path: a review of your risks and your current medications, baseline labs, informed consent, and ongoing monitoring while you are on it. You decide alongside your clinician, and you can decline at the start or stop at any time, for any reason.
Where it fits
Rapamycin is never the point. It is one possible tool that comes after your personal risk assessment, considered only if it fits your situation and the evidence. The foundation is always the plan, not the drug.
Everything we do begins with your personal risk assessment.
